Tonyi Senayah is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Horseman, a footwear and leather product manufacturing company he established in 2010, with a burning desire to create employment for young people with skills in shoemaking, as well as to produce high
quality locally made leather products. Tonyi’s vision is to build Africa’s biggest footwear and leather product manufacturing company in terms of employment and brand preference.
From very humble beginnings, Horseman has become a household brand in Ghana and is also gaining international recognition. Over the past 12 years, the company has succeeded in building a rich clientele that includes high profile personalities in the showbiz, media, political, academic, and corporate worlds and has received endorsements from same. During the delivery of the annual ‘State of The Nation’ address in February 2014, Tonyi Senayah’s entrepreneurial exploits were mentioned and acknowledged by the then President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, who publicly announced that he was wearing a pair of shoes made by Horseman. The President went ahead to endorse Horseman Shoes as a manufacturer of high quality shoes of worldclass standards, while encouraging Parliamentarians,
Ministers of State, Diplomatic Corps, and all guests present, as well as, the general public, to patronise the shoes as part of the “Buy Made In Ghana Goods” campaign.
Tonyi Senayah had his tertiary education in the University of Ghana, Legon, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. In school he was active in students politics, and was
voted as the President of the Junior Common Room of the Mensah Sarbah Hall. He was also served as President of the Students Representative Council in the 2006/2007 academic year.
Following his strong show of sound leadership, Tonyi Senayah has gone ahead to lead prominent groups and to also participate in several distinguished programmes.
He was the president of the Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs in Ghana from 2012 – 2016 and is also an alumnus of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (2012 cohort).
He has an executive certificate in “Law and management for Ghanaian entrepreneurs”, conducted by the Hertie School, Berlin in cooperation with the University of Ghana School of Law.
Tonyi has participated in several business competitions and mentorship programs. Notable among them are UT Bank/Enablis Business Launch Pad Competition 2010/2011 where he
emerged as the 1st Runner Up and the maiden entrepreneurial mentorship program “My Business 2010”, organised by Joy 99.7FM.
After considerable years of entrepreneurial experience, Tonyi has served as a judge for business competition such as Total Startupper Challenge in 2019 and I AM INVESTIBLE, currently on going.
He has spoken at several conferences and contributed to national policies through dialogues and advocacies.

In his spare time, Tonyi loves to read, watch football, ardent fan of AC Milan. He is married with
