Teca Cameron-Tackie is a dynamic leadership, business coach, speaker, trainer, consultant and facilitator. With a combined, 19 years of professional experience working in diverse roles in the public, private and entrepreneurial sectors, Teca is well equipped to offer transformation through leadership and personal growth solutions to individuals and organizations.

Teca is an advocate for diversity and inclusion. Born in Jamaica and growing up in one of the most diverse communities in Toronto Canada, Teca has been fortunate to be exposed to individuals from a variety of cultures and demographics. Through her work as an Image Consultant and Coach, Teca charted on a course to engage leaders on the topic of diversity in leadership, specifically, as it relates to improving the participation rate of visible minorities and competent emerging leaders in senior leadership positions.

As one of the youngest Team Leaders to lead a service delivery operation at Service Canada, Teca was charged with leading diverse teams of professionals from different educational backgrounds, cultures and ages. This equipped her with the ability to understand the significance of finding common ground with her teammates to improve the ability to connect with them for greater results. This experience also helped her to develop sensitivity to the needs of others from different backgrounds.

Currently in Ghana, Teca is on a mission to strengthen African leaders and Entrepreneurs so that they can compete more effectively in the global marketplace.

 

Competences

Design, Facilitation and Training

Teca is a Certified Adult Instructor and Facilitator, obtaining a master’s Certificate in Adult Training and Development from the Schulich Executive Education Center. Her areas of expertise include soft skills development focusing primarily on enhancing individual self-awareness, executive presence (appearance, behavior and communication), emotional intelligence, team building and leadership influence. Teca has worked with diverse clients from individuals seeking to advance in their careers, to entrepreneurs growing their practice as well as CEO’s seeking to improve on their team leadership abilities.

As an Instructional Designer, Teca develops and delivers engaging, modern, customized learning solutions for companies, ensuring that the training aligns with the organization’s mission, vision and values. A proponent of diversity in organizations, Teca focuses on creating content and dialogue that encourages inclusion, respects cultural differences and develops a safe and welcoming experience for all learners.

 

Coaching (Mid Career Managers and Leadership Teams):

Teca has coached middle managers on how to develop their influence and communication skills to effectively connect with their teams. Her focus has been on supporting emerging leaders as well as middle managers to increase their leadership effectiveness. In addition, to working with small to medium enterprises, Teca also coaches individuals 1-1 on mindset, productivity, goal setting and success principles.
