Miriam is a Pharmacist and the Territory Manager for IDS – West Africa at BD where she is responsible for the execution of the IDS business strategy, go-to-market strategy, end-to-end distributor management, key financial business processes as well as demand generation for the overall achievement of financial/budget expectations. Prior to this, she had different roles across the pharma industry. She was the Commercial Lead for West & Central Africa as well as General Manager for North & West Africa at Procter & Gamble Personal Healthcare. She also held the role of a Business Unit Head for Ghana & French Speaking Africa at Merck Consumer Health.
She has 15 years of sales and marketing experience within the pharma industry and this spans across various multinational companies including AstraZeneca, Merck Consumer Health, and Procter & Gamble Personal Healthcare. She also served as the Chairperson for the Ethics & Compliance Committee of AREPI (Association of Representatives of Ethical Pharmaceutical Industries) where she facilitated the drafting of the code of ethics for pharma industries in Ghana in collaboration with the FDA.
She is a recipient of the Africa Impact Award from Merck Consumer Health, Values & Integrity Awards as well as the GEM Awards from AstraZeneca. Her idea was also nominated as part of the best-short-listed ideas for the AstraZeneca Middle East & Africa Culture Jam for regional implementation.
She is also the founder and CEO of Muna Tuozaafi, a food delivery company that offers homemade, nutritious & delicious tuozaafi for the everyday corporate individual.
